Elya started her career in real estate as a sales administrator prior to becoming licensed in 2007 with RE/MAX Nanaimo.
Elya is a third generation Lake Country (Winfield) resident so it didn’t take long before her roots and the warm summers called her back from Vancouver Island, and she has since been working for the central Okanagan’s leading brokerage RE/MAX Kelowna ever since.
With family roots in both farming and real estate, its no wonder Elya found her niche in agricultural real estate. She offers a thorough knowledge of the various agricultural industries and the nuances of both residential and farm sales.
She is a member of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and has been awarded for her Chairman's Club production levels.
In 2016, Jerry and Elya together hit their highest award level ever being named into the Titan Club under their new team designation, the highest award received by either of them...until 2017! Jerry and Elya were honoured with the Diamond award in 2017, which is the highest level team award for RE/MAX internationally.
Elya worked as an independent agent with RE/MAX Kelowna since her move back home in 2008. Jerry and Elya worked together in an unofficial capacity for several years. Soon it became quite evident it was time to make it official and in 2015 the ‘Geen+Byrne Real Estate Team’ was formed.
After studying at UBC-O and Kwantlen UC majoring in journalism studies, Elya tried her hand at small business ownership before transitioning into the engaging world of real estate. Her experience connecting with people from all walks of life and her writing skills, continue to prove useful.
