Wow, what a great idea!  A new Kelowna company called Volinspire wants to connect volunteers with the organizations who need them.

A new business 18 months in the making was announced in Kelowna Thursday afternoon that looks to connect potential volunteers with organizations that need them.

Volinspire, the brainchild of Sheldon Gardiner and Jeff Hoffart, looks to combine a social media platform with volunteering.

Gardiner, the ‘chief ideas officer’ of Volinspire said the idea for the company came from seeing his two daughters try to find places to volunteer.

“I was hearing about high school students having problems connecting and finding opportunities in Kelowna, and I kind of thought we should do something about it,” Gardiner said.
