The Geen family has been an active part of the Okanagan agricultural landscape for more than a century - a tradition that continues to this day, through the hard work and dedication of David Geen.
David, Jerry Geen’s brother, is the biggest cherry grower in Canada with some 400 acres of orchard near Kelowna. Coral Beach Farms offers up hand picked, hand packed premium Okanagan cherries, the result of years of passion and hard work from David and his team. Last week, this hard work and continual innovation was honoured by the International Tree Fruit Association when they named David Geen an Outstanding Grower of the Year.
“I'm very proud of my younger brother David Geen for being awarded the "Grower of the Year" by the International Tree Fruit Association,” said Kelowna real estate agent, Jerry Geen. “When David made it known at about age 14 that he wanted to be an orchardist, I never knew how successful he would become. His work ethic, business skills, and marketing savvy have all worked for the benefit of him and his team at Jealous Fruits."
